Pleeeease mum - Let’s swim!!!

It is the first day of the new year. It’s been a go slow day in this house today. The dogs are all asleep on various couches / chairs and Google’s music selection has been chill and generally good!

The first Dog-a-Day painting for 2026 has been a delight to create. I thought I’d try gouache on a stretched canvas. I’ve not done this before - actually I’ve hardly ever used gouache at all.

Murphy loves the beach - he doesn’t love a bath to get all the sand out of his coat afterwards though. I usually have his SurfDog robe in the car, which not only helps him dry 1000x faster, it also deals with most of the sand .. ahhh beach life ♥️
